About Us
Bridging the vital intersection of medicine and law, through expert networking, professional development, and collaborative events.
The Wellington Medico Legal Society was established in 1961. It is a membership-based society for professionals interested in the intersection of law and medicine, and the ethical and practical considerations that arise.
The business of the Society is conducted by an Executive Committee whose membership is elected on an annual basis.
Nominations for election to the Executive Committee must be made by two members of the Society and be sent in writing to the Secretary prior to the AGM, which is usually held in August.
Membership of the Society is open to qualified members of the legal and medical profession and others who are interested in medico legal matters. The object of the Society is the promotion and discussion of all aspects of medico legal areas of interest.
